The Autism Research Institute
ARI, a non-profit organization, was established in 1967. For more than 40 years, ARI has devoted its work to conducting research, and to disseminating the results of research, on the triggers of autism and on methods of diagnosing and treating autism. We provide research-based information to parents and professionals around the world. ARI are ogranizers of the Defeat Autism Now Confernce which aim to brings together doctors and researchers to devleop natural cures for the condition.

The DAN! Approach (Made Simple)
Ms. McDonnell, a seasoned DAN! Clinician and the National Coordinator of the DAN! Conferences, explains in simple terms the basics of the biomedical approach to treating autism. The DAN! Philosophy, the importance of having a good rapport with a practitioner, appropriate testing and effective interventions are all discussed in this helpful overview. Although education interventions, behavioral approaches and other therapies are considered essential to treating children with autism, Ms. McDonnell shares that the consensus of those involved in the DAN! Movement believe that adding the nutritional biomedical component greatly enhances the effectiveness of these other therapies. .
