In a symbolic gesture to kick off the month of April-Autism Awareness Month. JASA joined the World Autism Organisation on April 2 and released one hundred balloons into the skies outside of the VMBS building on Knutsford Blvd. Though the actual event was short it was pore raising as we watched the wind sweep up our balloons and dutifully spread the yellow, green and black of our group throughout New Kingston skies.
Our JASA members did a great job of taking the opportunity to spread Autism awareness to person passing on the street.
All in all it was a wonderful event and was a shining example of how much we have a matured as a group, because it was the most public event and not one of us shyied away
Special thanks go out to Kingston YMCA, The Rotary Club of Kingston for their continued support. And to VMBS, Digicel, Image Matters and Graphics matters for their donations and support. And we will be remiss in not thanking Cherryl Stewart , Cheryl Evans and Andrew McQueen for the time and effort they gave to ensure the event came off a success!
Please take time and view the pictures.
